MVM System Journal 5

MVMsystem  continues its development and is running at present on 8 different installations and almost 14 users to allow us to deal with Bugs and Questions.

We created a pre Q & C cycle to allow us over the next level.

So what do we have so far…. We have a Web based application allowing authorized users to enter their allocated area via permissions and uploading, downloading, editing, printing relevant data relating to their vessel/s maintenance, purchasing, orders, stocks, crew and guests.

Captain and Office conduct all relevant documentation relating to ISM and ISPS on the MVM system. Direct link between SSO onboard and CSO ashore.

Chief Engineer wishes to view electric drawing of owners cabin.  Enters the allocated folder and finds the attachment. Captain wants to trace and follow his order of Admirality Charts issued.  All via MVMSYSTEM.

Our next step is reaching end of October with the software and system debugged .

The feed back from the different crews onboard the participating vessels requires last minute changes and upgrades. There is no updates or uploading versions for the users as every change that is implemented in the application becomes immediately available online.

Had a big meeting involving  directors , programmers and marketing. One of the decisions is to purchase a parallel server allowing us parallel backup and security incase server down-time. Checking suppliers and quotes.  It’s well worth the investment allowing us 100%  up-time.

Also deciding on second stage development of Log Books for  The Captain.

Shows are schedualed from September in Southampton through Monaco and around Europe . We are getting a bit pushed to enter 2009, but possible and that’s our aim.
